It's now time for me to leave the Baja California Sur peninsula to come back on mainland. Here are some pictures of those ten days spent here. I was warmly hosted by Carlos and he made me meet his friends with whom I also got along very well (Melissa, Dilmary, Luis, Kenia, Oscar, Merari, …). I have to admit it was easier since most of them including Carlos are students in foreign languages. We could practice French together.
La Paz is a peaceful seaside city with a historical center built around a cathedral. There is also a malecon (nice walk along the sea), perfect for sunsets and end-of-the-day stroll.
One day we even hit the road to go to Los Cabos, at the very end of the peninsula. We stopped first at Todos Santos, where we saw the Hotel California that seemed to have inspired the Eagles' famous song. Then we visited a gorgeous hacienda in Cerritos, which is now converted in a hotel. Great view.
At last, in Cabo San Lucas, we went on a boat to go around the point and the arch, which separate the Sea of Cortez (a.k.a. Gulf of California) from the Pacific Ocean. Besides the G20 Summit, Los Cabos is also a perfect spot for pelicans and surfers.
